Each Real Food Bar is named after a location we have hiked during one of our many adventures and the background photo on each package was taken by one of us while on that trip.
Columbia River Gorge, Oregon
It was mid October and we had decided to hike the Columbia River Gorge near Portland, Oregon. A light, steady rain was falling as we began to ascend the trail near Multnomah Falls. A bridge crosses the river right in front of the falls. It is here that most tourists head back having taken a few pictures of the 620′ waterfall.
We were short on time that day as we had a wedding reception that afternoon, but our plan was to hike up the Multnomah Falls trail, cross over at the ridge line, and return via the Wakheena Falls trail. The hike was gorgeous. We passed five waterfalls along the way. The plethora of photo opportunities almost made us late for the reception.
At one point the trail passes underneath a rocky ledge as you ascend the hillside. It was in this area that we took the picture for the Columbia River bar. We hope you enjoy the bar and if you ever get the chance to hike the Columbia River Gorge, do it!
