Our Mission

Our Mission Statement

Our mission is to equip people with real food options that are more than just a snack – they’re better-for-you, better for the planet and help you get more out of life. We’re committed to nutrient-rich and plant-based ingredients through a sustainably sourced supply chain.

Here’s the Problem

According to the CDC, only 1 in 10 Americans consume the recommended daily value of fruits and vegetables in a day. Yet, the United States is the global leader in food waste, with Americans discarding nearly 40 million tons of food every year. That’s 80 billion pounds of food and equates to more than $161 billion, approximately 219 pounds of waste per person and 30-40 percent of the US food supply. All of this is compounded with the fact that an estimated 14 million children in the US are in food insecure households. Read our latest blog post on this issue.

Our Solution

We’re working diligently not only to equip people with nutrient-rich bars that are filling and tasty, but also to do our part to reduce food waste. Real Food Bars 1.0 utilize kale powder in every bar for an extra nutritious kick. Coming out in summer 2020, Real Food Bars 2.0 will utilize upcycled organic kale, sweet potato and cauliflower powders from produce that would otherwise go to waste.
